1) Scope
This Policy applies to the Service, our websites, and related communications. It does not apply to third-party services we don’t control.
2) Data We Collect
- Account & billing: email, name, subscription status, and payment identifiers (processed by our payment provider).
- Documents: PDFs you upload and text extracted for processing. In v1 we keep documents per session and delete them within 24 hours by default. We may retain derived data (e.g., usage metrics, model prompts/outputs, anonymized aggregates) for improving the Service and safety.
- Usage & device: pages visited, feature usage, IP, timestamps, user agent, and coarse location (via IP).
3) How We Use Information
- To provide, secure, and maintain the Service.
- To enforce limits, prevent abuse, and ensure availability.
- To improve the Service, models, and user experience (including evaluation of anonymized or aggregated data).
- To communicate about updates, billing, and support.
4) Sharing
We share data with trusted sub-processors (hosting, analytics, support, payment, authentication) under contracts consistent with this Policy. We may disclose information to comply with law, protect rights/safety, or in a merger/acquisition.
5) Legal Basis
Where required, we rely on legitimate interests (e.g., service delivery, security), contract performance, and consent (where applicable).
6) Retention
Document files are typically removed within 24 hours. We may keep logs, derived data, or billing records for longer to comply with legal obligations and for legitimate business purposes.
7) Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures. No method is 100% secure; you are responsible for safeguarding account credentials.
8) Your Choices & Rights
- You may access/update basic account info in settings, request deletion of your account, or contact us for data requests subject to verification and applicable law.
- Opt-out of non-essential emails using provided links or settings.
9) International Transfers
Data may be processed in the United States and other countries with different laws. We take steps to protect your information consistent with this Policy.
10) Children
The Service is not intended for children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your region). We do not knowingly collect such data.
11) Changes
We may update this Policy at any time. Material changes will be posted with a revised “Effective date”.
